Urgent Relief and Rehabilitation is needed for over 1,500,000 people. 100,000's of people are in dire need of medicine, shelter, food, clean water and other essential items.

The crisis has recieved alot of international media coverage. According to one UN official "This is probably going to be the second largest displacement crisis in the world after Darfur" [UN Official, speaking to Delcan Walsh of the Guardian]

"The international community needs to realise that this is becoming one of the major displacement crises in the world and it needs to be dealt with...We need money now for what is going to happen through the summer." [Killian Kleinschmidt, deputy head of the UN refugee agency in Pakistan]
